We made it home!! After an anxious trip down the 401 we arrived safe and sound- (with two babies in hand) to the best homecoming ever. Our family had the house looking immaculate- cleaned, decorated, filled with delicious food and the most welcoming arms. We could not have asked for anything more. I feel like I'm on a TV show!! Having not been home at all since Christmas, I am so amazed by all the hard work they've done getting this house ready for our two little ones. We are forever grateful. We were also greeted with flowers and signs at the door- thank you to everyone who took the time to make our homecoming so incredibly special.
The first few days have been overwhelming. It is definitely an adjustment for both us and the babies. Chase seems to have adapted well, sleeping well and eating well and playing lots! Reilly likes it at home- she loves the TV and all her new surroundings. She seems very curious which is great to see! It's amazing to see her discover new things, especially because she spent so long in hospital now doing normal baby things is great for her- playing on the ground, smelling fresh air! All good! We definitely feel it was a good move for her, but a busy move for us. She still requires 24 hour care. Right now we are working in shifts, and slowly training more people around us to help us care for them. Chase is easy, Reilly is a little tougher. We've also been receiving delicious meals through Jen's meal Train, which is so helpful because it is one less thing to worry about. Especially for grandma Joan who believes all problems are solved with food so it allows her to forget about making us dinner and get her hands dirty with diapers instead. Everyone has been so great and we so appreciate all the help and gifts, clothing and food. It's all so wonderful and we are so thankful. We are hoping everyone will adjust even better in the next few days but we are thrilled to be home and happy to all be together! Thanks for your continued thoughts and prayers. Pics to come soon!!
